about
New music from one of the most dynamic post-punk groups ever to have emerged from this country, or any country. We are so excited to release a new track from the fabulous New War, 'Get in the Boot' is the first cab off the rank from the band's long-awaited, upcoming second LP COIN and it is a cracker.
A nasty blur of R & D (rhythm & detonation), open-bordered punk & fevered reports on life, money, & violence, New War are only their own. The group’s sneering, frosty thump undeniably gets the crowd moving on their new single, ‘Get in the Boot’. Relentless, catchy & at moments completely unhinged, ‘Get in the Boot’ flits between Elizabethan throne rooms, Garbo, & magical realist nursery rhyme, foregrounded by a goose-stepping rhythm section & synths like an air raid being eaten by a swarm of bees.
